The annual KW Citywide Food Drive has, once again, proven itself a success in reaching out to the people of Central Texas. This year's event managed to produce 12,653 meals through a combined traditional and virtual food drive effort, thanks to KW constituents who have dedicated their time and energy to make the Saturday event a wonderful success.
The food drive is an effort of Keller Williams to extend its culture of giving in the communities that it serves, and this year's location is Central Texas, with throngs of local KW realtors and their teams coming over to give a helping hand. Our very own Cain Team participated in the event, with members helping with food packaging and delivery amongst other KW realtors.
To show our support for this amazing and selfless culture, please allow us to mention and thank all the amazing vendors that helped make this effort possible: Independence Title, Santa Rita Ranch, Milestone Community Builders, 2-10 Home Warranty, United Lending, American Home Shield, Stewart Title, CenTex Foundation Repair, Juany Cleaning Service, Capital Title, Old Republic Home Protection, Austin Auditors, Send Out Cards, Leslie Moeller of Farmer's Insurance, Brittney Heffernan, and First American Home Warranty.
La Madeleine on Brodie offers simple French-inspired fare at a reasonable price. The food inspirations originate mostly from the Loire Valley of France and have a simple appeal, much like the lifestyle of its inspirational country. Starting as a pastry chef at the Dallas location, Susan Dederen now serves as the company’s vice president of culinary and develops the menu for the stores.
On the restaurant’s site, Dederen writes that “From Paris to Provence we take the local favorites and introduce them to our guests. We call it French with a wink… taking the best foods of France and using the best ingredients from the U.S. we ensure the freshest products for our guests. Changing our products with the seasons allows us to use these ingredients when they are at their peak.”
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served throughout the day and are available for order online. The restaurant atmosphere has a simple, French Country appeal with the signature large fireplace in the center of each location. Patio seating allows patrons to enjoy their meal or coffee in the great Austin climate.
The most popular items that La Madeleine offers are their bakery items. We recommend trying one of the seasonal fruit tarts, which is currently the Blueberry Creme Tart available for a limited time.
One of the core values at Cain Realty Group is to give where you live. Each year in Austin, Keller Williams Realty hosts a food drive for all their Real Estate agents to participate in and of course the Cain Realty Group team got in on the action! On October 16th, our team passed out bags to over 500 homes in Travis Country, asking each home to fill the bag with can goods that could be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. Two days later, we went back out to collect the filled bags. With the help of Travis Country residents, our team contributed toward a total of 25,500lbs of food donated in the Austin area! Thanks to those of you whose participation made this happen!

If you are stressing about Valentine's Day, then Cain Realty Group is here to help! Our team has compiled a list of fabulous restaurants for an Austin Valentine's date near Travis Country. We have tons of great ideas to help you plan your best Valentine's Day.
February 14th may be one of the busiest nights of the year for the restaurant industry. Many eateries in the area require reservations for Valentine's Day. If you aren't so great with advance planning, the team at Cain Realty Group recommends Jack Allen's Kitchen (located in Oak Hill) which is a personal favorite of the team for brunch.
If you and your sweetheart are more in the mood for a casual night out, there are plenty of options for a low-key night. Blue Dahlia, located in the West Lake area, is a European Bistro that offers a variety of fresh and lite salads, sandwiches, and other entrees with an assortment of hot teas and coffees, as well as several Valentine's Day specials. The Grove off Bee Caves Road is another great option. This wine bar offers Italian fare, and we are partial to their delicious specialty pizzas. Mandola's...
